Default Borla TD & Tennessee Emissions

I have a Borla TD on my Z right now and live in Tennessee. Our emissions laws are not as strict as places like Cali, but they do exist. I'm wondering if my exhaust is going to cause me problems when it comes time to get my car inspected or am I ok.

As long as you're running cats, you shouldn't have any problems.

Hey man. I live in Nashville and had no problem at all with emissions. The guy working there actually wanted to talk about the exhaust. You'll be fine.

awesome. I appreciate the help. I figured I was ok with my cats still be on, but I wasn't 100% sure.

Benj...did you notice any significant gains with the crawford cats? I'm looking in to getting a set.

Well, your cats will work fine unless you're very lean which is unlikely unless you did something weird with an ECU tune. O2 in the exhaust fouls the cats and prevents the reactions from proceeding. Just my $0.02 as a chemical engineer.

No check engine light, no worries.

You can run straight pipes and no cats and still pass.
