Default will helix test pipes ruin my O2 sensors?

installing them probably tomorrow...is there anything i should know before putting them on (other than emissions). the guy also mentioned to use high temp silicone with the gaskets that are currently on the car to install (is this something i should do? i'll be taking them off once a year for emissions...silicone sounds permanent)

any suggestions would be great. i want to do this right. also will i damage the O2 sensors from all the added heat?

thanks guys

Well I don't know about the silicone issue, mine seals fine with the gaskets, but I can tell you that the "sparkplug fouler" method has kept my SES light from coming back on and it seems to save the O2 sensors. Before I put on the foulers my sensors were getting rather sick looking from the unburnt fuel and such, they get coated in the same residue that your tips will get after a while. The sensors will be able to handle the heat though.

nevermind...i found this:

"i just went and got the HELP! Spark plug non fouler. Part 42002 for 3.99 from autozone.
Its a 2 pack, that you screw together, and then screw the open end into the o2, and the other into the bung.
I'm going to be getting this done tomorrow.
This does require that you drill out the hole to allow for more flow to the o2, but thats pretty easy."
