Default ECU Reflash vs safc

Is there any difference and/or advantages to having a technoqaure/aam ecu reflash vs just getting a safc such as apexi's? I searched for this and could find an answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

well the safc you can only tune the a/f..... where as the the reflash you can adjust a/f, timing maps, raise redline to 7100rpm, remove the speed limiter you can do some more thing too.... unless you have all the bolt-ons already I wouldnt do a reflash because you will have to spend $595 for each reflash when you add a new mod

I think TS or AAM strike some deal with the costumer for upgrades to the ECU...? I pretty sure it's not $595 a pop.

This is a interesting read... but hella expensive!

I was more so just wondering, I read a post about guys being lean when they have pretty much all bolt ons...Thats what I'm going for....staying NA and going sub 13(w/out the bottle). Then I'll prolly go for the TS.
