Do a search for spark plug non-foulers on here for info on keeping the CEL from going off. Using two sets of these you can give the O2 sensor a cleaner breath of air so they don't set off the CEL. At least that is what has been said, I just got my test pipes from eBay and they are total cr4p, not going to bother putting them on.

Hmm, what is the spark plug non fouler method? Do test pipes foul your plugs?

Also, should I get resonated or not? Is there a performance difference?
Thanks

You use the non-foulers as spacers basically. Nothing to do with your actual spark plugs.

Basically you drill two of the non-foulers in the center with a 1/2 inch bit then screw the two non-drilled ones in to those. You then screw the O2 sensor into that second non-fouler so you end up with:

02 Bung <-> drilled non-fouler <-> NOT drilled non-fouler <-> 02 Sensor

Instead of:

02 Bung <-> 02 Sensor

P.S. The 02 bung is the hole on your new test pipes.

P.P.S. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from dohccivicna1250 OR RVM Racing Wheels on eBay (same person). The dude is a rip off artist that skates the law by technically not lying but clearly is being deceptive. For instance look at these two sentences. They are not typos, that's how he means them to be. They are meant to confuse you and make you THINK he means what you want him to mean.

"WILL ANY OF THE ABOVE CARS"

Will "ANY" of the above cars? What the hell does that mean? Notice how he doesn't say they actually FIT. That word is convieniently missing but you put it in as you think, "Well he must have mistyped, he must have meant they fit any car listed above." He means, "Send me your money. I'm a dirtbag and a thief."

"UNLIKE OUR COMPETITORS WHO JUST SELL YOU THE PIPING ALONE, NO HARDWARE INCLUDED."

Again, he is playing on people's willingness to trust. You read this and say, "Well he's saying his competitors don't include the hardware, but he does." But no, he's saying, "No Hardware Included."

This statement is CLEARLY a bullsh#t statement but he has been getting away with it for so long, and eBay refuses to do anything against these types of theives, that he can just keep on running his blatant interstate fraud with impunity.

What year is your Z? If you have an '03 or early '04, then you shouldnt see a CEL. If you have a late '04 or '05, you will likely see a CEL and need something like the things mentioned earlier. I have had test pipes on my early '04 for about 10k miles and only 1 CEL which I got cleared at Auto Zone for free.

By the way, I have a used set of Megan Racing Resonated TP for sale for $90 shipped. They have about 2k-3k miles on them. Selling because I'm reinstalling stock cats.

I have an 03 going to install some xerd test pipes today so hopefully i will not get a CEL. If I do I will try this nonfouler method you just explained. Does the non fouler screw into the bung with no issues?

Whatever you do don't buy cheap ones. I bought some cheap ones ($75 total w/shipping) off eBay, knowing I was an idoit for doing so, and they are so bad I'm not even going to bother putting them on for the month or two I had planned to have them.

I just wanted to see how loud it would be to decide if I wanted to spend the few hundred for good ones.

well if you have the 05 Z with test pipe your car gonna throw CEL, the only way is to get non-fouler, which worked great. Remember to get 2 pack.
