APEX'i power intake
I cam across this link air filter shootout awhile ago.
Since then, I have been trying to look for any application information for 350z and found
out none.
It seems that the universal filter is the only way to apply on 350z, but how?
Does anyone knows more about it.
It seems a very good filter according to the test.
I am guessing that it might be installed like pop-charger, but didn;t see anything that can
bolt it on except the filter itself.

Finally, there is one for 350Z, the part number is 508-N020.
Unfortunately, this is not sold in US, but in JP, AU, and UK.
The listed parts include filter, gaskets, bolts, and adapter, but not mentioned
about and heat shielding.
I am thinking if the filter itself can be used to replace pop charger's filter?Anyone has done such?

I think that you could contact http://www.apexi.com/, tell them the outer diameter of whatever tube you are using. Ask for the part number of a proper fitting filter.

or u can DYI an adapter
The info I got says that the replacement filter element of 508-N020 is 500-A022.
That is the universal filter for 350Z according to www.apexi-usa.com.
So, maybe 500-N022 would work.

So has anyone tried puttin one in? Found a pic off the net of one installed on the 350, just google it. I called apex-i usa, and they said the replacement filter bolts right onto the MAF.

thats the link to the pic. I believe thats the kit# 508-N020. I didnt confirm the replacement filter cause the guy i talked to says he's got no info on it as its not available in the US. You can purchase the filter with a flange, but thats if you want to add it to your current CAI. But for me, i just want to replace my JWT popcharger.
I just went over to a local shop cause they had the Apexi Power Intake in stock, but the holes on the filter WILL NOT line up with the MAF on the 350z. So another way would be to order the filter and the flange from apexi. Found this on the net: http://4tune.ru/catalog/default.php?...55e7b4e30f0e0c Part #500-A026 is what you need.

dont want to burst ur bubble but the popcharger doens't use a universal adapter
. It connects directly toe the maf via 4 bolts. Universals have a pipe that has a 3 or 2.75 inch inlet.

In my opinion (and my opinion only), the APEXi Power filter is the best option if you decide that you NEED an aftermarket intake. Dry, well-built, nice sound, etc. With the filter sizes and adaptors available, it should fit one way or another. Calling APEXi would probably be the best bet for proper fitment advice.

Does anyone know if it bolts right onto the G35? Getting one online tomorrow need a quick reply.
Appreciate it.

JWT filter is a metal filter, apexi filter is a paper filter. That might make a difference in all those vehicles shutting down when they cruise at highway speeds.
It would be cool to have some info on it, and why the hell don't they sell it here I don't understand?
