Default Question for you guys with Pop Chargers or Enjen installs, etc

I just had Performance Nissan install a Pop Charger, but now I’m reading that these oil laced air filters can clog up the MAF’s that are located close to the filters.
Have any of you had problems? Nissan apparently has a Service Bulletin about this problem (now I find out). The service writer never mentioned pos. problems with these air intake installs. Any feedback will be appreciated.

The problem is when you re-oil. Light coat and ensure it dries before re-installing.

Just put mine in a month ago. No problems here. Even got an oil change & the dealership never said a thing about it.

The only time we have seen a problem is if someone over oils the filter after it is cleaned...

Since you installed your pop charger with us, we fully back our installs... So if there is a problem, do not hesitate to bring it by...

We havent had a problem with any pop charger / other intake installs yet...

Just make sure after you clean/oil the filter, you let it sit on newspaper for about 10 hours to let any extra oil to be drain/soaked up by the newspaper.

Yep, he's exactly right. I cleaned mine with a K&N kit, turned it from blue to red. No issues.

I heard from someone (disturbed163621 or something on the forums) that it can cause your engine to stall if you were going fast and then put the car into neutral... I'm not sure if this has to do with over-oiling or not, just a warning.

Hey I'm going to get the Pop Charger installed at Perf. Nissan sometime around next week also.
How much did they charge to install it? Or I guess Jason can answer me on this also?
Thanks in advance.

How many people have you had pay for a Pop Charger install? I mean installs don't get any easier than that. Maybe I should open up a pop charger install business in Florida.

i know the same can be said for injen cai install. but i must admit i was a bit
weary of removing the front bumper at first. i heard of people completing the
install w/o removing the bumper, but i found it easier to just remove it.

it also allowed me to bolt the filter on rather than use the plastic push pin.

BTW, is it true you can just use that kind of spray-on electrical contact cleaner to fix the MAF sensor if it gets gummed up from the filter oil?
