Default motordyne spacer & varis air duct

Where is the cheapest place to get a motordyne 1/4 spacer or a virus air duct.

And also, has anyone seen a non-carbon fiber version of the air duct? I'm not into the carbon fiber so if there is a cheaper plastic version, I don't mind.

We only offer the gasket kit spacer, where u use a stack of gaskets to space up the plenum. some customers have tried it out. we don't do spacers, because the gains are similar to the factory 05 track plenum, and the crawfords, which we sell. If you want a cheaper alternative to a upper plenum, instead of a spacer we recomend the 05 track plenum. everyone who has gotten one from us have had good experiences with them, and they are only priced at $222, so it's about the same as most spacers anyway.....

WOW...i didn't realise this. has the 05' track plenum been dynoed? because the motordyne spacers seem to grab a bit of power. but $222 sounds like a great deal. plus i get to keep my stock strut bar right?

Zlleh,

You might want to wait a little for when our new line of Motordyne Iso Thermal plenum spacers are released from beta testing. The spacers are now a little larger and come with additional components for thermal management. (Pat. Pend.)

In addition to the added power provided by the 5/16" aluminum plenum spacer, the Iso Thermal components make the whole upper and lower plenum run much cooler! By 30~60 deg F!

The new Motordyne Iso Thermal plenum spacer is very cool. Its being tested by many Z and G owners now...

Thanks for the heads up. Will this new 5/16" still be able to fit under the stock struts bar? Do you guys have a ETA on this new product? And the most important question... how much more will it cost

Cost won't be much more but it hasn't been finalized yet. The kit should be ready for public release in a couple weeks.

And yes! The Motordyne Iso Thermal plenum spacer fits under the stock strut bar!

You got pics of these new thermal gaskets!?

How do these compare to the nextgear and fisherspeed?

Can I be a beta tester too?

Yes, I do. PM me your email and I can send them to you.

I don't really know much about them.

...What I can say is the material used for the MIT gaskets was very heavily researched and researched for the lowest possible thermal conductance and the highest heat resistance. The gasket material is not cheap and is typically used only in aerospace applications.

Can I be a beta tester too?
Sure. Give me a PM. Given the amount of 350Z to 350Z tolerance variability under the strut bar, Motordyne will sponsor several beta tests on Z's all over the country. I'll set up a thread just for that purpose a little later. There are already several in test but I still want to do more.

The 1/4" spacers have had excellent success on HP and fitment. Enough so, that it seems a little more room under the bar can be taken advantage of. With the new MIT spacer the plenum is raised a total of 3/8". (5/16" with the spacer and 1/16" with the Iso Thermal gasket.)

3/8" total added heigth should be at about the optimal heigth limit.

Hydrazine, finally see the 5/16" spacer on your site, but was disappointed that you guys didn't update your website dyno info to talk more about the improved 5/16". The page is outdated with the 1/4" and doesn't mention Iso Thermal components you mentioned here. Also, How much more is it to ship to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada?

Would the spacers/gaskets work on an '04 Murano?
