Default Random Tech cats?

I was looking into getting these down the road. Anyone have them?

This place seems to be the cheapest I have seen online

I had an RT cat on my Maxima... it lasted about 1 month/2k miles before the inside honeycomb section fell apart and clogged my b-pipe and muffler. I am one of many, many people who experienced the same problem. Don't waste your money on RT cats.

Plan and simple. Dont do it. Go Crawford or Kinetix. If anybody wants to see pics of my bad cats do a search. I pissed away 600 bucks on those things and now those 600 dollar gutted RT's are sitting in my garage.

from all that I have heard run from them for a 350Z...

I used to have an R/T HFC on my honduh prelude and never had any issues after running with it for lik 5-6 yrs... just depends on the application... for Z's they suck...

albeit they do flow well untill they implode...

I have been running them for a year and NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. They are as high flowing as you can get without going straight pipe. Great fittment and a good gain in power. I always let mine warm up a couple of minutes before any aggressive driving and they are still working fine.

All these people are stating that they sucked and what not.............I spoke to Clay at Random Tech & Paul Dezid Motorpsorts and they both said it is an issue with the ECU running too rich and RT corrected this problem by making these cats available in 2 substrates based upon mods done. So I think I may give them a shot. I had their products on 2 of my previous cars and no problems what so ever. Clay @ RT also said they have a warranty and will fix the cat for free if it fails and/or give a new one. What is there to lose?

Because that was my second set. I just gutted them out and decided not to deal with it anymore.

Ask them will they honor warranty work/returns on the cats before they "made the fix". Alot of people paid good money to be apart of R&D. Myself included.

Why ask what everyone thinks and then go against what everyone is telling you? You obviously didnt care to hear what everyone had to say from the get go...
