lovetoclown, yea, that is what I have been hearing about the fuji exhaust alot. Its the only thing that is making me lean towards the HKS exhaust. I have heard a few clips of the fuji on a red Z that I have liked. I believe he had HF cats, and Y pipe. The only exhaust that is close to it, that I have heard in person, is the nismo exhaust w stock cats. It sounds nice, but I wouldnt mind if it was SLIGHTLY louder. How loud would the fuji be if I added HF cats and Y-pipe? Would it be just as loud as the HKS or nismo with stock cats? (Ypipe included on the nismo, of course) But I don't want something overly loud like the Topspeed proN1/RSR style exhausts. I have a friend that has the Topspeed with HF cats, ypipe, and headers, and it is absolutely rediculous. He likes, it but its definately not for me. Also, how would the HKS sound when HF cats are added? would it be as loud as the nismo or fuji w/ HF cats?

 

I have DC headers, R/T Cats, Nismo Y-pipe and the Fujitsubo exhaust. It is only a little louder than stock. No rasp though. I have heard that the HKS is VERY loud with Hi-Flow Cats. I have heard the HKS and to me is sounded gurgly at idle. Almost like it was under water. I do not know if it was the old style or the new dual style though. ONe of the most restricted parts on the exhaust is the cats and if you change them out, then most exhaust systems will get twice as loud.

 

how loud would you say your exhaust setup compares to the HKS or nismo with stock cats? Does the fuji not get any louder than either of those two exhausts with all those mods? Im just trying to see if I get the fuji exhaust and get a ypipe and HF cats, if it will be just as loud as the nismo or HKS exhaust with stock cats...

 

I would say that the Fujitsubo with cats is a hair louder than the nismo with stock cats. I beleive the nismo get really loud with cats. I don't know about the HKS though.

NP! Well, my opinion is HKS then. It's very exotic sounding and true dual. The only issue is that you will wait a good 6-8 weeks to get one . Glad I could help!
