Ive got Fujitsubo, Jic Y pipe. and Kinetix cats and its exotic and loud as hell. I had HKS on my last car and this is just as loud. The great thing about it is no drone on the highway. ALlot of these exausts people are throwing up are nice (RSR, etc) but they drone like hell, and personally i hate drone with a passion.

Agreed. I love the fact that my Fuji doesn't drone.

I can not see how people say the Fujitsubo is loud. Most people do not even think my exhaust is any different than stock. I hate how quiet the fujitsubo is and thats why I am goint to switch to a new set-up. The fujitsubo is anly a little louder than stock, even with headers, Y-pipe and Cats.

At WoT the fuji opens up quite a bit. It's a very low key exhaust for those who want aftermarket but only slightly louder than stock.

Does the Fuji become loud (under WOT) if it used with a set of testpipes? I love the subtle look of the Fuji but I want something with a more pronounced exhaust note (I like loud. He He)!

My RS*R register at 115 db on a my meter from 50 feet away without silencers...

Sport Z Magazine recorded the stock exhaust at 81 db...

And I agree, not sure why some people think the nismo/borla/etc. are loud. Wait till you hear the comparison...

I don't understand what the big deal is with the Fuji and the Nismo. I think it sounds stock but more amplified to me. Same exact design. I don't think this design/sound meets "exotic".

I have also noticed many Ti systems have been mentioned under exotic..I was just curious...Does a full titanium system change/ make the exhaust note sound better?

Titanium is said to make the sound deeper from the posts I have read. The Fuji. is "semi" loud at WOT, but unless you drive around with the rpms near redline, what's the point.

to the people who favor going custom, I am going your route and am currently shopping around for mufflers. which universal mufflers should I be looking into? I had flowmaster on my last car and it was so-so, borla makes some, and magnaflow does too. I've heard good things about magnaflow before, but considering I have a japanese car I'm kinda wanting a japanese sounding muffler setup. any ideas?

No it is not...Only one person has posted about how he did not like the sound. It's not being "hated" on.

I have the Amuse Titan, it's definately not deeper.. it's high pitched and even a little bit ricey sounding between 2000-3000rpm.. but anything above or below sounds great

I guess no one really thinks much of blitz, huh! If I go custom, wut would be a loud, exotic sounding muffler? Do they make stock looking ti mufflers?

yea, im also looking for more feedback on blitz! It seems like it would be close to the nismo and fuji in design and sound. Is the blitz any louder than those two? Is it exotic sounding?

Also, how do the nismo/fuji type exhausts compare to the HKS in sound? Which is louder/loudest...Which is more exotic sounding?
Can you compare it to any other exhausts for the Z? or any other cars for that matter?
I have spoken to a few people trying to get more opinions, and I have gotten many different opinions (of course). People have told me the HKS TD for the Z sounds somewhat like a NSX, M3, and a WRX.
I wish someone would make a good videos clip of the HKS exhaust driving by at different throttle loads and speeds. but then again, videos can only do soo much.

define what exotic means to you.
fwiw, my new hks with stock cats has no rasp, sounds louder and way deeper than stock. kind of like a vette, but not as deep. you will hear it at freeway speeds and constant on-throttle speeds, but its tolerable. wot, its a beast.
i'm having so much fun rattling ricers with this exhaust as i drive by.
