Yes. Any modification which increases horsepower will adversely effect fuel mileage. If weight is held equal, a car with 200 hp will get better fuel mileage that a car with 300 hp.

Also, anyone know of a good shop in Las Vegas that does installs?

This question might be better answered in regional.

Actually, there is a lot more to this MPG question than just saying that increasing the peak horsepower will take away gas mileage. In most cases, modifications which slightly increase the amount of airflow into the engine (or decrease the intake temp) and/or increase the scavenging effect of the exhaust, should actually increase the efficiency of the engine at lower to mid-range rpms. My Nismo CAI increased my MPG's by 1.5 on the highway and .5 on street, with six months of mileage data (about 30 300 mile highway trips and separate town trips). I will let you know what happens after I install my nismo headers tomorrow. But since you are not drastically increasing horsepower, you might see small gains on highway trips.

All mods I've done have increased my mileage. I see over 30mpg on the freeway taking it easy w/mods. (intake, headers, exhaust and TS ecu) Cams probably will be bad on gas mileage but that's a guess.
If you draft off a big truck/SUV's it bounce at 40mpg!
I'm not sure if lowering it and the JDM Nismo body kit effect mpg but I appear to be quicker on the top end (100+mph)

Zluver is correct. However, you may end up with worse gas mileage because you'll be sticking your foot down more often using that newly added power. Since I put the full Crawford package on, my coupe is a lot more fun to drive.

With today's gas prices, maybe I should cool it
