Default Weird Idle With Injen CAI and Injen Exhaust Is This Normal???

I’m kind of new at this so if this was already asked then someone please point me in the right direction. I just picked up a 350Z with the Injen CAI and Injen Exhaust and when the car idles it almost seems as if it is going to stall then it corrects itself and goes back to normal idle is this a problem or normal and how do I fix if it is a problem? The car only has 4000 miles on it and I picked it up from a dealer as is. The dealer said it was the map sensor and the computer is just sucking more air so this is normal. Any Thoughts would be great. Thanks Guys!

With intake and exhaust, a “weird” idle is not normal.

Remove the MAF sensor from the tube, and inspect it. Is there any damage?. Reconnect. Do not over tighten the screws.

Give the ECU some miles to adjust to the new bolt-ons.

When I first installed my Injen CAI it seemed to sort of stumble occasionally. That went away with my plenum spacer for the most part but sometimes in the right conditions it will still stumble just a bit. I don't think the Z is known to have the most rock solid idle in the world.

Some people think it's the crank angle sensor wire picking up interference. Could be, I don't know.

I had the same problem, then I got rid of the Injen CAI and got the JWT POP, now my idle is perfect.. some way the CAI is fouling up the MAF. causing it to idle up and down..

wats up..i had the same the problem but mine was worst.. i got a new 2005 performance Z and i put a JWT pop in with about 5000 miles.. the idle seemed fine. one day i was drivin doin bout 45mph n it jus started boggin on me. so i gave it some gas and it was fone then it started again lik 5 seconds after that and i tried givin it gas but it kept boggin but it was gettin worse so i pulled over and it was still boggin.. till finally it stalled on me. n wen i tried to turn it on it went on and right off.. so i put my stock intake in and it ran better.. i ran the stock intake for about 2 weeks and i jus put the JWT pop bak in and its runnin fine..and my car is goin into the shop tonight for a injen exhaust.
