Default Kinetix Resonated Cat Pipes Cracked/Leaking

Well...I've had a set of Kinetix resonated cats now for a while, and about a week and a half ago the car started making a strange (ungodly loud and annoying) noise which I couldn't place. I got up underneath the car today and tapped the right cat pipe and it made a funny "loose" noise. Similar noise, although less volume, from the left pipe. Then I turned on the car and got back underneath, and I was able to pinpoint the sound as coming from the pipe. In addition, when I put my hand at the rear weld points I can feel air being pushed out of the weld (fairly forceful, so it isn't a small hole).

Has anyone else had an issue with this? I've had the pipes for maybe a year, but I don't drive the car hard on uneven pavement or do anything that should be causing them to flex or put any sort zof undue stress on them.

4 sets from Kinetix in total. 1 set of cats, 3 set of resonated test pipes. All went bad and either snapped or cracked.
They were swift to replace them, cant fault the customer service.
Still a right ***** having to fix em all the time.

AMAZING!

I already have an email back from them; they are replacing them immediately. Thanks Kinetix, for the excellent customer service

Will post some photos of the old and new once I have them out of the car for swap.

Be nice if they didnt break in the first place. Never known a car like this for exhaust issues.

True; we'll see what happens with this set.

I have had mine for 1.5 or 2.5 years, can't remember which, and no issues.

The replacement pipes came in the mail this morning! I am going to try to get them on the car this weekend. The pipes themselves look a bit different than the first set I had -- not as polished and slightly different orientation. Not that I care about the polishing at all, but have they undergone a design revision? I recall the originals being a bit hard to line up properly.

I will take pictures of old and new when I have them off the car.

I had these pipes and had some similar problems with them. The flanges on the cats are smaller diameter than on the exhaust I had, which was causing my to blow out gaskets on a regular basis. Eventually, the same thing happened that you experienced. The cat actually snapped in half at the weld at the rear of the chamber.

It was replaced without question but still was a pita.
