just wanted to add, my former sales man at honda had a civic with an AEM CAI before they made the bypass valve. he hydrolocked his engine, wasn't raining out too bad. i think he was really dumb, i'm assuming he submerged himself in a deep puddle. i put the same one on my old Si and had no problems what so ever.

I think the moral here is simple, no amount of rain will hurt the engine, but standing puddles are a definite NO NO. as long as you are aware of this, it shouldnt be impossible to stay out of trouble. also, I know here in GA, we have our "rainy months" and for these months, there is always the option of switching it out, it might not be easy, but its possible. then again, we have the whole summer where its hot as hell and not a drop of rain to be seen.

I did not put on the CAI for that same reason. If the CAI is not for you try the Wolf pop charger. i have had mine for over week and its great. the Heat shield is a must, it will stop all the hot air from getting into the pop charger and acts like a tunel to push Cold air infrom the stock intake, The Way the Z's stock air flow is routed from the botom front of the car and tunled up right in to the front of the pop charger it workes just as Good As a CAI And it sounds great. Very noticeable and good power +3-5 Rhp And +4-5 Lbs torque ( ill confirm that after dyno) Its also Only $140.

2 Buyers backed out, so we still have two units available. They would be shipping later this week. These are the last of the first batch from Injen, no word yet on when the next batch will be arriving.

So how does access to the filter look? You mentioned that install involves removing the front bumber, but what about removing the filter for cleaning? Is this pretty easy to do?

I just installed mine, the system is kick ***. You can get to the filter through the top of the bumper but you can not take it all the way out. You could also clean it from this point. The bumper is not that hard to remove anyway. You can also install it before it goes through the bumper as a short ram, but I prefer it the way it is.

What's the point of putting on these new air induction kits. They don't add any serious power and from the dyno results I have seen they don't do a damm thing. Why risk water intake into your car when the thing doesn't improve performance.
