Well, i did it, V4 install
I had a 02 sensor go bad, the front one on the driver side, and told nissan about it. They didn't look at my cats, at that time, i thought it would be the rear one, the one in the cats. It wasn't, turns out it was the front one, so they ordered a new one. Instead of having them do it i got them to give it to me. Told them i was having someone closer to home do it.
So, while i was at it i installed my Kinetix V4 , looked easier to get to the o2 sensor if the carb was off.
The o2 was a little bit of a pain in the **** but, not too bad. Had to borrow an o2 sensor socket.
So, i installed the V4, without looking at the instructions. Cranked it up, got the ole whistle'n air leak and crappy idle car.
Looked up the manual, SOB, (always read the manual first) forgot the six plug screws on the inside, (didn't come with the V4 that i bought from an individual) went out and bought some.
Put those in and ran a really small line of RTV gasket. Now i have about 30 min left till i feel the locktite is dry on the inside plug screws.
Here is to hoping for a nice idleing car.
Since it's dark out, i also can't tell if the strut bar is on the V4. I held a flashlight on one side and i see daylight but, who knows.

Whoo hoo! It works. I think the strut is too close to the V4 though. I get a vibration when idleing and an obnoxious noise at WOT.
Guess i'll have to shim it.
How can you tell if the strut bar is tight/loose enough? Is there a procedure for determining the right length?
