Question for the eggheads: Why does the stock ECU only open the throttle to 80%? I understand that there are reflashes available to open it fully, but why did Nissan design it to only go to 80%. It apparently is the same with other Nissan engines. I also know from Fluids that at 80% a butterfly will flow almost as much as at 100%, but why did Nissan choose to keep it throttled?
