Nismo Y-pipe
Quick newb question. Does the Nismo Cat back exhaust include a Y-pipe, or does it bolt to the stock one? If it is a new y-pipe, is it as thick of tubing as a fuji or gruppe-s?
Yes, it comes with a Y pipe: http://store1.yimg.com/I/ntnsracing_1861_134386647
Should be comparable to fuji and gruppe-s

It's hard to compare gains measured or claimed from two totally different sources. If they aren't measured by the same dyno on the same day with similar conditions, you can't really trust the numbers for a comparison. Especially when they are small or the difference is small.
Supposedly, the gains on most of the Cat-back exhausts are from the Y-pipe.

slightly off topic, but here's an overlay of the Fujitsibo vs JIC
the Fujitsibo has the connector pipe, the nismo doesn't
without flex joints, you risk cracking your pipes
can the nismo pipe be used with stock exhaust?
BTW I'm going to be selling my nismo Y-pipe soon really cheap. It works fine, but the flex joints are slightly smashed in - not a lot, just barely. It sounds worse in writing than it really is. The pipe is 100% fine otherwise and has no cracks or leaks
