Default I need help w/ my header install.

I would like to install my Strup headers sometime this weekend but I've never installed headers b4 and I know that it is somewhat of a pain on our Z's. I'm looking for someone that has tools and jackstands and won't mind leading me through the install.

I'm in the DFW area. Of course, compensation will most likely be in the form of a case of beer (your choice) or something of that sort. I am willing to pay some money if you prefer but I am tight on cash so I can't afford too much.

So... do we have any takers?

This may be better in the regional forum.

If you can't find anyone to lend you tools, you can go to an automotive store, leave a deposit and they'll lend you some tools.

The install take a little more than a few tools, don't forget breaker bars, and ratcheting wrenches, plus tons of extensions and universal joints. Be prepared to spend 10 to 11 hours under the cars. Wear gloves if you like your hands, it's a tight fit. I think there is a header install here, http://www.zchickz.com/header1.htm, have fun!

The install isnt that bad. Have someone that knows about cars do it with you. Forget about wearing gloves because there is no room. Be prepared to bleed a little bit. My install took just over 8 hours and we messed around a bunch of times. The directions for the headers are very straight forward. Good Luck

I actually bought gloves after the header install, it took 10 hours, but we did take a few long breaks here and there, it gets hot here in texas. You guys are probably right about there being no room in there. Sometimes to get in the position you need to get some of the bolts in/out you do need to cut your hands up though. Getting the exhaust manifolds out is the hard part.
