Yeah you are right it mine does say that, needless to say when I put my APS plenum on I will torque the outside bolts to around 100 inch lbs and the middle bolts to around 60 inch lbs, does that sound right?

That pic is from the 2004 manual. Maybe Nissan discovered that the torque on the 6 inside bolts was too much and backed them off to 60 in-lbs in the later manuals.
I'm a little confused by your statement That's not what my manual shows. The service manual picture you provided shows both the upper and lower collector bolts and nuts are to be torqued to 9-10 ft-lbs.

All the manuals from 2003 to 2005 indicate the same torque (9 - 10 ft-lbs) for all upper and lower collector fasteners. Also the 44 - 61 in-lb torque value for the collector "stud bolts" is the same in all the manuals.

Aftermarket plenum/spacer suppliers may modify these torque values to meet their products specific requirements. In my experience 60 in-lbs may not be enough torque to prevent vacuum leaks after the engine experiences a few thermal cycles.

Oops, my bad DaveO. I realized that the diagram refers to the nut torque of 9-10 fts-lbs but the section...

If stud bolts were removed, install them and tighten to the torque specified below. 4.9 - 6.9 N·m (0.5 - 0.7 kg-m, 44 - 61 in-lb)

refers to the studs themselves, not the nuts.

I would like to give props to dave at AAM, now that is customer service. Dave don't worry about sending me a new plenum, we are good, sorry about the initial post. If anyone wants an AAM angled spacer with no bolts or gaskets, pm me I will let it go for shipping only, I want someone else to be able to use this product since I can't anymore.
Actually I would feel better if we did send the plenum out. That way if you ever decide to go a different route or sell it or whatever you have a functional part. Our email system had some issues over the weekend so I may not have received your email if you sent one. I have your email addy so I'll send an email to confirm all the info we have in the system.

Also, have whoever you sell the spacer to contact me. I will send them all the parts needed for install at no charge.

I will take you up on that dave. I am donating the plenum spacer, not selling it, if you want to send the parts with the plenum, I will give them all to him at once.

By the way guys someone has pm'd me for the spacer it is as good as gone! I wanted it to have a good home.

I've cracked my plenum with AAM spacer as well, but that was after polishing it, so that could have weaken it. I also couldn't get the center bolts to seal since the ruber gaskets got torn. After I got a new center upper plenum I used RTV (I think it was blue) gasket sealer around the center bolts and I've only tighten them enough to squize out the RTV. Now i don't get any sress on the plenum and the seal is air tight.

I had the same problems with the washers, I took them out and put some o-rings on the bolts and that is when it cracked, when I redid it.
