I can make them for you, but there has to be interest, so as to pay for the patterns etc for casting.

As for S2000's not making power by adding ITb's, I just had a customer call and say his S2000 made 50hp more in the mid range and about 20hp at top end.
Not all applications will make these kind of improvements, as the s2000 is a high revving engine.

I have just spoke to Lance over the phone and he is serious in gauging interest about production of the product so if there is any interest/question about the product please post and reply.

who is lance? and you know as well as i do that anything to make power will have interest, the only drawback would be price.

With the ITB, are you guys talking about the electronic ITB or wire-driven ITB? I think either way, those will cost a lot since you will need after market stand alone ECU to work with wire-drive ITB as what Tommy Kaira did... and with electronic ITB, it might be done by linking/wiring 6 of our throttle bodies together... I have been thinking about how to get that done for so long already and the thing is, is there enough room in our engine bay to cope with an airbox? because our z engine bay is hot as hell... you wouldn't want the ITB to suck in hot air though..

cheers,

richie

From the looks of some pictures of the ITB on the S2K, it looks as though there aren't any filters for the throttle bodies. Wouldn't this pose a threat to objects/particles entering the engine?

I wonder how much it would be for LHP to make a prototype set. I may be interested.

Personally, it would be cheaper, easier, and a better bang for your buck mod to come up with twin TB's in my opinion with a twin plenum (basically runs as two seperate motors in a sense). Somewhat like the Top secret G35. ITB's are way espensive and I have heard that tuning is expensive.

I asked him when can we start seing this kit produced for the VQ market and for a less expensive price. He has stated that the Porche V6 kits are currently $4k and are in good demand.

Bottom line if we show some interest these guys can start to design and develop these kits. Maybe for a much lower price as well then they ask. TWM won't want to waste their time and money on a design people would not want. I would personally most likely drop the money for the kit if it was realeased.
Dont know of any production Porshe V6 motors running around..

That kits been around for a bit, who wants to pay 6k for it?

They said if we show interest theyll make it? What more interest do you need than a community that spends all its money on aftermarket parts?

Make it worth the money and I guarantee they will buy it. Now you put a 6k price tag on it, and they might not bight. hp-dollar ratio.

In that ITB setup, are each individual butterfly controlled individually or all the same? Cuz if thats the case, it'd be cheaper to just make a twin TB chamber with venturi funnels to each cylinder

I actually designed & built a flow bench as a senior project back in college. I graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering btw. I wish i still had access to that thing.

The throttles are all connected to a central cable pull on most V engine type intake systems.
(Fly by wire is hard to make work with this system).

As for making a twin throttle system.
It would not have the advantages of a 6 throttle setup,
nowhere near the throttle response,
plenum manifolds can make the power of ITB systems and more,
but will not have the throttle response or street drivability.

I've designed plenum manifolds for the allmotor compact drag racing scene and these make big power,
but that's not for everyday drivability.

And there has not been enough interest to justify any ITB system designing for the 350Z,
(at least not yet anyway).

What do you mean not enough interest? What makes you think if you made ITB that made power people would not buy it?
