Default Question regarding Nismo Intake & Exhaust

I just got my 05' Z last week and am starting to put together my plan of what I want to do first. I know I want to get an intake and exhaust (better sound, a little more horsepower) and have a couple of questions on the warranty. Since my car is brand new I'd like to have the warranty and I was under the impression that if the Nissan dealership installs these parts for me, then my warranty is still valid. Is this correct? Any reason to go with something besides Nismo? I am friends with the sales manager at the Nissan dealership so I can get decent prices so going with a less expensive part wouldn't be the reason.

The Nismo exhaust wont void ur warranty cuz its a S-tune product. The Nismo CAI will becausr its R-tune. My advice is to go with a pop charger since its simple to take off if u are still under warranty. Plus it sounds better than the nismo cai and gives more hp and u dont have to worry about driving it in the rain( although the Nismo comes with a water diverter) But is hard to clean that filter since its all the way down in the fender.

IMO Nismo makes great products...or rather badges great products. However many Nismo items are pricey to say the least. I think the CAI is the best intake in your staying NA.

The exhaust is up for debate. If you want a lil extra power and a more agressive sound, get the Nismo. It will be under warranty for at least 1 year/12k mi and looks great.

As for the Warranty.....you will not void any warranty unless the aftermarket part was a direct cause of the malfunction. So if your transmission grinds, or your engine burns oil, or you snap a rod.....you will be find b/c there is NO way an intake caused that.

google "moss-magnusson act" for more info

Pop charger is better than the Nismo. It's the #1 selling intake for the Z.

Can't go wrong with Nismo in my opinion. I have the intake on my car and absolutly love it.
