Injen installed without removing bumper. Impressions...
New Jersey finally released my intake that was being held hostage for a few days. Thanks PMP. I took a look at what needed to be done and decided I would do it without removing the bumper. I installed the intake and a stillen grill in a little over 2 hours. The areas where the bumper removal looks necessary are removing the air inlet on the radiator support and the splash guard behind the grill. I was able to bend the air inlet easily enough to work it out. The splash guard is held on with 3 plastic clips that can be accessed by pulling the guard out and getting a flat head screw driver behind it. I agree with most people who say injen's instructions kind of suck. They do. They look like they were generated on a 1980's rexograph machine.
Impressions. It DEFINITELY makes a noticable difference. I have no dyno available but my butt dyno tells me that their HP claims me be pretty accurate. There is a bit of a noise, kind of like a reverse blow off, when you first hit the gas. I like sounds so I'm fine with that.
