Default Plenium spacers

I just got my z and i'm wondering is a plenum spacer a good mod to do? I've heard rumors of 13whp gains thats a lot for a $270 upgrade, also will it effect the daily drivability of the car, to i need to have it tuned?

Hi SLBKBULLET,

What you heard is indeed true if you have the automatic transmission. The spacers typically make about 13HP and for only about $270. Drivability is even better with it and you don't need to get it tuned.

If you have a "REVUP" engine you need t get the MREV. It costs about twice as much as a spacer and it also produces twice as much power.

For more info, do a search on Motordyne or MREV. You will find lots of information and dyno plots.
