Default popcharger is a piece of ****!

Justed wanted to start a lil war because a lot of people on here seem to like this thing when in fact it must give sound, but will ultimately only lose power...if you dyno this crap do it whit the hood open!!!
The stock intake is already a perfect piece taking the air in the front of the car ONLY; when the popcharger will take the air from the engine bay because its the easiest air to aspire...why put it in front of the bumper hole if theres no ram air effect?
Would be a better idea to put a hole in the bumper to direct air in the factory hole!!!considering all this:

I guess when a Pop-charger gained 10whp over an AEM intake on my car on the same dyno(SAE corrected) that was BS? Run whatever intake you think is best, see you in my rearview

Since you drive both a 2005 and 2006 350Z, put the Pop Charger on one, and leave the other stock. Then race and tell us the results.

Hell. If you can install headers, test pipes, cat-back exhaust and upper plenum in 6 hours, then you should have the Pop Charger in place before you take it out of the box.

Depends what your setup is. Example, if you were to install a popcharger on a stock Z with no other mods, I doubt it will gain 10 whp.

But if you installed a popcharger on a car with a bigger upper plenum upgrade, test pipes, aftermarket exhaust, i'm sure you can see my point...

Depending on how free flowing your exhaust is, the greater the potential of the intake will gain in power.

Yes guys I have dyno sheets to prove it. AEM intakes or CAI's dont work well with the Crawford plenum. When I switched to a Pop-charger 1 week later I dyno'd 10whp higher. Others I have talked to online have also had similar results in going to a short ram from a CAI when running a Crawford plenum.

Yes, this may/may not also apply to the regular Kinetix plenum and/or the Plenum spacers on the market. Shop owner of where I dyno told me the CAI on the Z is way to long, and that there is too much turbulence in the intake with CAI's and the plenum. He asked "if you had two guys drinking water out of two cups, one guy has a short straw and the other guy has a long, curvy straw of the same diamater who would win?" I said the short straw, direct shot, less force on the guy to suck up, he said same goes for air and your motor. I thought it was BS but I spent $100 and redyno'd 1 week later, it worked, and throttle response was way better. I wouldnt recommend a CAI on a Z to anybody now.
