Good question- I found a plenum for the same price as a spacer, so I grabbed the plenum... WotS is that plenum gives a little sound.

Do ya'll think you could get a little bit more gain with the spacer and plenum being used together than w/ just 1 of them?

I don't think Sport Z is widely distributed. I have seen it at a couple Barnes and Nobles. The 1st issue I ever bought was at a random liquor store.

if you want to save weight, go with aftermarket plenum.. if not, go with spacer..

I thought the spacer weights lighter comparing to an aftermarket spacer?

I believe he is calling the stock plenum a beast. I am going to read that shootout and make my decision.

Well the cheaper plenums, I THINK, are just to fix a small air flow problem with the vq35 (at least with the g35's)

So you may see a little gain, but I doubt it would be much more than a 200$ overkill.

No one has mentioned one potential advantage of the spacer IF the spacer has a thermal gasket (or 2). And that's heat sink or thermal isolation. Hot air rises, and the plenum gets hot. A thermal gasket may help keep the OEM plenum cool.

What about two spacers and an aftermarket plenum? I forgot: you'll need a new hood too.
