what gives? my co-worker's 350z started throwing the check engine light when he installed his test pipes? i thought only 2004.5 and up had this problem. i was searching about this for a few hours before work today, and this goes completely against everything i read.

either way i gave him the part numbers for the HELP! thing w/ install instructions. maybe it's just a rare thing like the '05's not getting the light? or maybe he has the CEL on for soemthing else and just happened to turn on once the parts were installed?
