Does the Skunk2 spacer come with an upper gasket? No, it ask you to use RTV.
Does the Skunk2 spacer come with previsions so you can use your stock strut bar? No.
Have more then a few people said the plenum came in contact with their hood and rubbed off the paint? Yes.

But good luck with your Skunk2, I think people should buy what they want, it's their car.

I don't own a Skunk2. :P I'm ultimately concerned about HP gains, heat transfer, and a part that won't fail. If it fits that criteria, then that's all I would be looking for. The material it is made out of seems like a good idea for keeping the plenum a tad cooler. I was thinking about going with MREV-2 and a Skunk2

You might want to look into those choices a bit deeper before you spend your money. It seems the best gains with an MREV-2 might be without a spacer or at least a shorter spacer than the Skunk2.

Also, there is heat reduction available for less in the iso thermo kits. With the Skunk2 you are isolating the top of the plenum from the motor, with the Iso Thermo kit you are isolating the upper and lower halves of the plenum and reducing or eliminating the hot water running though the upper plenum.

the iso-thermal kit is only 50 bucks. You might be right about the gains being lower with the MREV-2 though.
