Default Another MREV dyno: +20HP and +30TQ

Hi Guys,

I wanted to let you see this latest pre/post dyno plot. This one was done by Spencer out in NY. He installed and pre/post tested the MREV on his G35 without removing the G from the dyno.

Results seem to vary from car to car, but many G35 owners are reporting as much as +20HP and +30 TQ with the MREV. NA gains like this on the VQ have been completely unheard of until now.

The G35driver.com reviews on MREV are nothing short of incredible. Many have posted it completely changed their car and made it clearly faster. Others have said it should have come this way from the factory. Its even been charecterized as a "Biological Breakthrough!"
The good reviews go on and on.

MREV has got to be the single most effective mod available for the REVUP VQ.

so let me get this straight... all 06s can use these with added benefits while 03-05 dont since we dont have revup engines?

Do you wanna try it on the 03'? I can dyno test and track test it. BTW tracks are officially closed in MD for the next few months, we have had 3 small snowfalls now But I cant wait to test a rev-up motor down the track, I have a few interested people come next season...

These gains are real and proven. no doubt one of the best NA bolt on mods you can do to your car!
Tony has done his homework with this kit and with all of his plenum mods.

We got much love for the 287's out there too. It's called the Motordyne iso thermal spacer kit, or the copper iso thermal spacer kit! These kits have proven better performance results over the basic plenum spacer or full plenum replacements, since it works to keep the plenum cooler and allows it to deliver cooler air for detonation. This provides a denser air for a stronger burn, therefore delivering more power.
PM me if you're interested. We have the entire line of products on sale now!

I would also love to see a 350z get dyno with this device. What is exactly the difference between the (iso thermal mrev) and the (copper iso thermal mrev)? Another thing is if we did this mod, I'm assume we'll have to scarifice the bar that goes over our motor correct?

Have the G35 owners with the MREV plus set up needed an ECU reflash or electronic tuning of some kind after installation? Is it really just a plug and play job? Will the ECU adjust itself as it does with some high flow cats? It is worth doing an ECU tune anyway after install? Any info on A/F ratios? Thanks!

If you can install it on the dyno that would be good. But you already have a CV5 right?

I actually prefer the stock upper plenum though. I like the stock upper plenums rounded contours on the sides leading into the runners. IMHO the contours are good for flow continuity.
You still have one available?

If you can dyno it with a stock upper, I'll exchange lower collectors with you. Your stock for one modified.

As an FYI I also think there will be a little more benefit to a REVUP engine because of its higher redline but since you have the ECU reflash so you're also good to about ~7K RPM.

Yes. With the MREV or the Iso Thermal 5/16" plenum spacer kit you get to keep your stock strut bar on.

EDIT: And you dont need a reflash.

I have the original "ugly" Crawford plenum with kinda sharp edges and the welds, not the cast version. I rev to 7100rpm's, but wont be for long as Im going FI very soon. And unfortunately I sent the stock plenum back to Crawford as a core I guess it wont work out for me, but Id like to see a 287hp Z with a raised limiter try this mod. Maybe somebody will step up.

Would the best gains for the 287 engine be the modified lower plenum and the 5/16" spacer (to keep the strut bar)?

Thanks,
John

So lets say someone with a 6600 rpm rev-limiter would be interested in this product. Would they be cut short of performance unless they have an ecu flash or is it highly recommend that a ecu flash is done to get the maximum performance out of the iso thermal mrev?
