Default Aps test pipes + backpressure

Can putting the APS test pipes on my car hurt my engine?? I mean can it open it up too much and not give it enough back pressure??

if the pipes are designed for the 350z, then no, they wont harm ur engine, if lets say u put a 4" testpipe set (not designed for the 350z) then ull loose enuff backpressure to loose performance.

We have discussed back pressure several times. Please search. Opinions vary from “You need back pressure” to “back pressure is a myth.”

Test pipes and similar mods will generally add peak horsepower and peak torque. What they will do for certain is alter both curves. Each 350Z and each mod is different. Predicting what the new curves will look like is difficult. Many are wiling to trade a bit of low end torque for additional peak horsepower.
