Default DC Headers + Kinetix Hi-Flo Cats + Stock Exhaust = Rice!

Damn! Just wanted to let everyone out there know. I changed my headers for DC SS headers, and went with Kinetix hiflo cats, and kept the stock exhaust (low on funds right now) and i just wanted to let everyone know it sounds like crap! I cant stand it. Its a high pitched whine while accelerating (very ricey), and when im at a constant speed, its not much better. Needless to say, Ill be getting an exhaust quickly! Anyone run an exhaust with this same setup that could point me in the right direction?

When i had topspeed headers, kinetix cats, and custom y-pipe w/ resonators it sounded good. Quiet at cruising but really loud intake/plenum sound at WOT.

Two members can have the same exhaust, one says it sounds great, the other that its terrible. If you are chasing some subjective exotic sound, you may as well toss your money out the window.

I dont think the stock exhaust could ever sound like rice. I had the resonator removed back in the day the one was music to my ears I truly miss it. Most on here hate it, so like David say, exhaust opinions are like a$$holes, everybody has one.

yeah for some reason, mine is sounding like a honda with a coffee can muffler. ill have to get under there and check for leaks or something, because this is not some thing im being super-picky about- this think sounds like a 1990 honda with a fart-can
