Default Anyone removed the brace below the exhaust?

I got the injen exhaust and it is rattling on that aggravating brace. My poor header fitment on my passengers side causes the exhaust dont to move much at all. So thats why raising it wont help. Can it be removed with no worries? Im tired of it rattliing on that. Heres a pic of what im talking about. This isnt my exhaust its just for a reference.

Just get a set of washers and space the brace down a bit. Some nice 1/8" thick washers will most likely take care of the problems

You think 1/8 would be enough? Its pretty dang close now. What you think about 1/4 inch washers?

Get whatever size you need to keep it from hitting

do the washer thing so you dont have to go back and weld the cracks it might cause

Couldn't you line the top of the brace (where it contacts with the pipe) with some sort of heat-wrap?

The exhaust pipes won't melt it off, but at least you won't have metal rubbing against metal.
