The 2.5K rev-limit is being imposed by the ECU because it is not getting proper signal from the MAF sensor and is defaulting to limp mode. Check that the connector on the MAF sensor is fully seated, and if so, check to make sure none of the wires are pulled out of the connector or are damaged.

so if you have it backwards then its not reading correctly so it wants to kill the engine so no harm is done to the engine.

now as far as backward.. meaning the WHOLE thing not just the plug.
just go ahead and flip the whole housing look at the pics above.

Then see what happens.. no reason to reset the CPU it lears by it self
It is impossible to install the MAF housing backwards since it is connected with bolts on one side and a clamp on the other.

Actually I think YB legal is right. I was looking at pictures of people and all their intakes. I think I have the MAF sensor and its housing on backwards. I mean at least compared to EVERYONES pictures that I saw. So lets hope thats it. Cause I love the sound of it so far.

I don't see how you could do that. The MAF housing has a square-pattern bolt flange on one end and nothing on the other. If you had it backwards, there would be nothing attached to the bolt holes on the intake side of the housing.....

well maybe he put the whole thing backward..
he attached the rectangular bolt flange then he put this toward the TB and put the intake filter on the other side..

it could happen i guess if its your first time

The other possibility here is that you damaged the MAF sensor during the install. Did you by chance drop it or anything? I hope not because MAF sensors are EXPENSIVE! Performance Nissan sells them for $400!

I've never seen this intake system, so I don't know if that's possible, but good thinkin' if it is.

Everybodywildou: The MAF sensor should have the bolt flange farthest from the throttle-body and the clamp end closest to it.

KCObean thats exactly the opposite how I have it. Tomorrow morning I'll do the switch around.

Oh and as for the MAF sensor, I doubt I broke it. But I took the MAF sensor from my old G35 when it got wrecked. So does anybody need one?!

If you can, I would LOVE to see a picture of this, just for my own education. Thanks!
