Default Help!!! Intake Problem!!!

Okay so I just installed my nismo intake. It did it short ram style. Whenever I turn on the car, the engine struggles to stay alive then just dies out. Finally when I'm able to get it to start and run, it doesnt want to rev past 2.5k rpm. What is wrong with the car? Does the short ram make a difference? What do I need to do? Someone please help me ASAP. PM me!

Thanks in advance,
Eugene

FYI, I would edit your post and take out your #. Not a smart thing to post on an internet forum.

I'm guessing your in limp mode. Are all your dash lights on? Make sure you plugged your TB and MAF back in.

Once all the plugs are plugged back in reset your ECU.

Disconnecting the battery for awhile is the easiest way. I have never been successful in manually doing it so I won't go into those details

Do you normally have to reset the ECU after installing a CAI or PopCharger?

But why does the engine bog down at 2.5k rpm? When you say backwards, do you mean the plug is on backwards? Cause there is a notch that prevents that from happening. If you guys have any more ideas please dont hesitate to let me know. I really want to drive the Z.

Mass sensor reads how much air, temperture, and quilty of air thats coming.
so if you have it backwards then its not reading correctly so it wants to kill the engine so no harm is done to the engine.

now as far as backward.. meaning the WHOLE thing not just the plug.
just go ahead and flip the whole housing look at the pics above.

Then see what happens.. no reason to reset the CPU it lears by it self
