Hi,
I've been lurking around for a little while and searched the site, but I can't find a real answer to the following questions. Between the Borla cat-back exhaust and the APS 2.5 True-duals:
1. Which is louder at idle and cruising ?
2. Which provide the best performance increase ?
3. Which has the best fit and finish ?
The APS is almost twice the price of the Borla, I just want to make sure it's really worth it... I have the APS TT kit on my G35 and high-flow cats (still have the stock exhaust).
Thanks a lot!

APS is QUIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTT w/o test pipes. I mean, no one in my house knew i had an exhaust until i told them. Its deep and throaty at WOT however.
With test pipes theres slight drone in any gear at 2200 RPM. Its nearly silent w/ test pipes however from 2500-3000 RPM (cruising RPM's). After that it screams im fast.

I would recommend Borla over APS due to hp gain and pricing.

Probably true

Not even close once you consider he is running a TT setup
3. Which has the best fit and finish ? Borla. Look nicer too.
APS is a better fit and finish. Borla uses all slip joints and their exhaust piping is more prone to staining than the APS setup is. Go look at a Borla and an APS setup with a similar amount of miles on them and see for yourself. Beyond that, both use a similar OEM style muffler and tips so both look fairly similar from the back end

Poor recommendation considering the Borla is a N/A exhaust and the APS is a FI exhaust and the thread starter is a TT owner
Probably true

Borla is slip fit.....and can be prone to shifting around over time. APS, Injen and others are flanged
The question of what exhaust is right for you depends on how much power you are looking to make, what your budget is, and whether you want something loud, quiet, etc
