Popcharger: Cheaper, Awesome gains, easier access to clean, awesome sound. One of the best bang for the bucks! Hands down.

Thanks for input everybody i think i'm going with the pop charger it sounds like the logical choice. By the way do you also think its worth getting test pipes w/o headers or exhaust?

I hate to answer a question with a question but how much are you willing to pay for about 5 additional peak horsepower?

Aren't the stock cats generally more restrictive than the exhaust systems? Generally, I thought test pipes and the like gave gains upwards of 10whp.

I have a popcharger and love it. I wonder if one of the other short rams flow any better or not though since the pop charger still utilizes the stock intake tube.

^Since the G guys usually grab a Z-tube for their Popchargers, it must be pretty well designed from teh factory.

I have the JWT Pop Charger w/ Heat Shield, UR Ultra Underdrive Crank Pulley w/ gates belts, Motordyne 5/16" Plenum Spacer and Iso-Thermal Gasket Kit, and APS Cat-Delete Race Pipes and love the gains!!! I think these four mods (around $800) are the best bang for the buck hands down! I have a baseline dyno run and headed back on the 25th to see the gains.

Well actually I plan on getting exhaust and headers anyway but was just wondering if it was worth it to get the test pipes first. And should the Y-pipe be changed at the same time?

I think you might want to hold on the headers. A lot of money for small gains. Also if you have any plan on going FI than don't get the headers. I think you'll be happy with TP. I ordered all my parts just for the N/A gains to hold me over till I go F/I. The only parts I'll lose one I SC is the PopCharger ($110) & Pully ($200). I don't think a $300 lost is very much for the gains they see. My next buy is the Nismo Cat-back & Brake Kit.

If you have the money, it would be advantageous to do the entire exhaust at once: the car is on the lift only once. But generally, members work with a budget, and install one or two items at a time.

Do the Nismo. I love mine. And it has a loud sucking sound. However I'm running it without the bypass valve though.
