Just intstalled mine last night and it does have the whistle sound, but I also hear it when i mash on the gas....I also have it with the Nismo Exhaust and I am chirping my tires a lot more now too, must be on the increase in power correct me if I'm wrong

froggy, yea, it seems liek what you did is the best option. jwt filter in a stillen box. Did the jwt fitler fit well, or did it have to be tweaked?

does anyone know a way to buy the stillen box without their filter? also is there any other boxes on the market that would fit the conical filter?

buying the stillen and the jwt filter is just too much money for realistically a 6hp increase.

Default stillen/pop charger

froggy do you have a pic of your setup? is it worth all the trouble? i would assume an expert like JWT would have thought of the box thing if it was that critical. I agree the heat sheild is weak but what type of difference are we talking with the addition of the box?

^^^ My JWT is dirty as the rest of the engine bay, and you won't see much...
I used to have the Crawford cats + Kinetix V4 plenum but I was loosing power (without a good tune or piggyback) and I'm on the way to sell my Z, even my actual JWT in the Stillen airbox is sold.
During winter time, the air is cold enough, so it doesn't make a difference, but at the track I could hold/keep my "power" longer.
I bought everything separatly at Perfnissan, the vendors should give you the opportunity(+ a good price) to buy directly this exact set-up.

how exactly does the stillen box work? Does it just cover more of the filter to keep more heat out that the JWT heatsheild? I wouldnt mind getting my hands on one of those.

You dont have a closer pic of the box do you?

^^^ I used to have a pic, where you could have seen a JWT fitting in this box (it's the same size as the KN:which doesn't have the front opening) but it was too dirty for "selling"...
Believe me it's great.

have any proof, as far as i seen in sales , quality , speed, creativity, design, power all are being held in cars that are not made in the US. So you might wanna wake up besids the new Z06 and ford GT aint much out there brotha . Im still pissed that american nascar doesnt utilize fuel injection .lol
you name any american muscle car, there is a better import from another country lol bottom line. The last time america got credit for creating a beast of a car, was the old ford ferrari days.

You are just as ignorant as oman. You two should get together and share notes.

Old school muscle cars are nothing to gawlk at???? Don't get me wrong I love exotics and and older sports cars but some of the great cars that were built back in the day were great, old *** chargers and all that **** were great. True and total raw horse power. Again I love cars don't claim to know enough about them but know that old school american muscle cars weren't crap! I not talking about the garbage that is produced to day, I'm talking old school.

How's that solid rear axle working out for you? All you need to do is put any kind of curve in a race and american muscle is done for.

i mean for power there displacment was a breakthrough but then again, ...there was no sae standards or emissions regulations, ...it was a different world lol...and no they couldnt turn for sht but there werent meant to. I actually think they reason for so much death with the older cars contributed with there inhabilty to take a decent turn lol.

I'm not really sure how or why this turned into a battle about what kinda cars suck or don't. But both generations are awesome and I don't believe there's an arguement because they're two completely different kinds of cars.
