Default Fujitsubo Exhaust and Resonated Test Pipes

Ok i was wondering if anybody have the following setup and can report about how their car sounds. DOes anyone have strup headers (or DC, Topspeed, pro-1, alphawerks headers THey are all the same) combined with fujitsubo exhaust and y pipe along with Resonated Test Pipes. Are there any rasp throughout the rpm band? HOw loud is it and does it sound good? Thanks in advance. Hopefully somebody that has the exact setup and is N/A can comment on the sound. I know going F/I can change the exhaust tone, and im not going F/I so that doesn't concern me.

Yea i've heard the exhaust is quiet, but i've also heard it can get pretty loud if combined with headers and cats or test pipes.

not really the Fujitsubo... the NISMO one sure does...

I mean, its going to be a little lower then what it is before headers and test pipes, but it doesnt add nearly as much volume as others do with these mods...

pretty much covered up... the rasp is mostly caused by open exhausts being loud and rattling itself...

resonating / hitting the harmonic of the piping itself...

Got the Fuji with RT cats, JIC Y-pipe and Nismo headers. At idle and low rpms it's pretty quiet. At mid to high rpms it's not quiet at all. There's a little rasp at mid-rpm with hard throttle. Overall sounds great.

Jason- don't think so, but don't know. I'll be at Performance in the next few weeks anyway and you and Tim can check it out.

there are 3 ways to check..

1. Remove y-pipe, sometimes you can see if some is hanging down there
2. remove O2 sensor see if the tip of it was hit with part of the cat element as it blew out
3. remove it and look from the top...

:-/

but, I have never seen an RT high flow cat that did not blow out...

i had helix test pipes, pro-1 ypipe, and fuji exhaust and it was loud and raspy... so i took the test pipes off and ordered some labree responated pipes. i got them this afternoon so i will install them soon and let you know how they sound.

i have heard nothing but good reviews about the labree resonated test pipes so i am pretty confident that it will fix the sound the straight test pipes made.

i got them from 350Zmotorsports that link is directly to the labrees... great price on the pipes and free shipping.
