Default Need help deciding which plenum

I was wondering if anyone has done any real no BS testing of plenums and what they have found. I haeve been looking at the SSV, APS and Crawford (don't know if any others out there) and need help deciding which one to go with. My plan is to get the high flow cats and plenum done in hopes to someday turbo charge. Already have the Stillen exhaust.

Also, for the APS where is a good place to buy at a decent price>
Thanks

Oh, BTW, I have looked and searched for answers, but there is much disagreement out there so I would like to get the latest.

You might want to check out the latest issue of Sport Z Magazine (Winter 2006) for the plenum/spacer shootout they had in it. Very good info on both. Personally I like the plenum better than the spacers, but it was a spacer that won the overall shootout. I have biased opinion, but I like the Crawford plenum, especially if you get the cats and headers too.

spacer gives out hp gain the same as plenum (APS, Crawford, SSV etc) and cost much less. HOWEVER, if you prefer to change the complete plenum, either Crawford or APS are fine. SSV is more for "bling looking"

Remember when crawford was raggin on the spacers? They sarcastically offered a deal to sell a of couple of gaskits to immitate a spacer.

Yes they will fit with the stock plenum, except the 1/2 in. spacers may be real tight or not fit at all. Have you seen the CJM and SFR intake plenums? Although very expensive from what has been said, they seem/look to flow very well. Neither one are in production yet, but they are there as an option later down the road.

i would just go with the Motordyne Spacer:
1. cheap
2. simple
3. you'll actually feel the gains

I would say crawford then you can get the hiflow cats put on also at the same time. I am happy with Crawford plenum it held some gains + is cooler to touch never gets as hot as stock.

I have the Kinetix V4+ and am very happy with it. The sound is a hate it or love it thing though. I like the way it sounds.
