I have the AEM cold air intake. Bought it when the thing first came out. Love the sound and loved the way it looked.

Problem for me with the AEM intake is where it is located and what is envolved with cleaning it. Atleast for me i had to remove the driver side tire to get to the filter to clean the thing.

Also i dont know if this is true, but to me it makes sense. When dynoing the car i dont think you will see the same gains with this intake compaired to say a Pop charger style. For one it sits in the fender and there is no air rushing in like when you are moving. The pop charger sits up top. SO while your car is on the dyno it has the hood open and the fan blowing right on it.

Exactly. I actually just installed it a few hours ago and I love it. When you rev you can just hear it sucking up the air. Such a great sound. Also made my Borla purr some more.

Thanks again Jvanquish you jerk off

I liked mine for a while until I got the Crawford plenum, doug even told me that Ii needed to change it out because it causes too much turbulance combined with his plenum...Ii dont know about other plenums. Now the other issue EVERYTIME it rains it gets a little wet ..when I get up to 5k rpm's it bogs down and it is from the moisture getting to the MAF so I am going with the K&N Aircharger short ram..somthing different than the most common POPCHARGER. I like to be different, I will dyno and that will tell the story.

Did you remove the splash guards from the bottom of the car or what? Unless you drive through deep water puddles the filter shouldn't remotely get wet.
