stock exhaust+aftermarket y = big low end power loss, very little top end gain

I would suggest cat-delete or high-flow cats first. The stock cats are very restrictive.

there is hardly any noticeable loss of low end torque whatsoever cuz i got the stillen y-pipe with oem exhaust. In fact, huge noticeable gain at over 4k rpm...there is no comparison between the stock and the stillen y-pipe. The sound is amazingly smooth and sweet...one of the better bang for the buck.
i compared the oem and the stillen y-pipe side by side on the floor, getting rid of the stocker was a no brainer.

save some money...just go to the wrecking yard and buy a set of used oem cats ...take it home and drill through the damn thing. You got yourself some inexpensive high flow cats then.

Also cut your springs to lower your car as well.

If a quality aftermarket y-pipe is less restrictive than the OEM pipe, then yes, it will be louder.

Default Sound?

How does the exhaust sound with Y-pipe, high-flows and stock exhaust?

i wouldn't recommend cutting the springs for various reasons though.... i consider that as mutilating the Z, not a good idea.

it sounds a little less subtle than stock.....it won't draw any unnecessary attention to yourself or the law for sure.
