Default Thanks Tek, will do

I will have pics, Dyno chart, and Time Slips as they become available. I am considering a 100HP jet to place me over 300 at the rear wheels. Thoughts on this?

Just to clear it up for me, isn't the stock rated HP 287? Or is that at the flywheel? Good luck with your setup!

honestly I think that would be "pushing it" for the Z. That's over 1/3 of the engines max performance all in a single burst! A 100 shot will put a pretty decent amount of strain on a Z's 6! Good rule of thumb that I've always heard / seen is keeping your bursts around 25% of the engines original rating unless its seriously modded / equipped to handle all the extra stress and wear!

Default I was thinking that too

I will stay at 75, at 231 even 75 puts me over 300HP at the rear wheels with who know how much torque.

Then the intake and pulley's. I will be fine, just got carried away, was tired worked all night. Going to sleep.

Love my car.

Edit,

Oh yeah 287 is at the flywheel, I don't think anyone has got real close to that mathematicaly, at least not consitently but this is common. That is why I prefer track times.

I only use Dyno's to see what my mod did for me or to check A/F ratio's, KR etc.

I don't put much stock in the numbers other than gains or losses when adding bolt ons etc.

Hey Max, did you do anything to your tranny? Any special types of fluids?

Default I drive an A5T

Everyone I know with rear end and tranny problems drive 6MT's and either lose their clutch or rear end. Auto's are much kinder to the rear end and axles than manuals at launch, and I already said I am not launching at WOT.

I wonder why they call the top of the line the "Track" if 75 % of the people buying it are afraid of the Track?

I have a friend who drives a Pontiac Grand Am GTP Supercharged and has a 125 shot and races once a week.

His car has over 60k miles on it.

Hasn't "blown up" yet

I'm still running the stock tranny fluid. I might go Red Line or Royal Purple but not this early.
