Default Exhausts

I am in the market for a new exhaust system and want to know everyones opinion on which one would fit my needs. I use my car as a daily driver so i definitely dont want anything too loud. I want something with a nice deep tone and i would prefer a true dual exhaust system. I am big in to sound, so i have had a greddy exhaust before an it sounded great, although that was on a civic. I have also had hks on a subaru and that was great too, but too loud without the silencer on (and putting the silencer on killed performance so what's the point). Any suggestion would be great. Also, if anyone has experience with a custom made exhaust and/or shop who can custom fab an exhaust in so-cal, let me know. Thanks everyone...look forward to hearing from you all.

With respect this entire forum is about exhaust systems. Please read and study. Concerning sound I recommend that you go to a couple of 350Z-meets and listen before you buy.

Apexi Megaphone is probably what your looking for. I just put my on yesterday and other than the tips its just like the stock. Just a tad beefier. You could hardly tell I put an aftermarket exhaust on. If you looking for an exhaust at a good price and harldy anymore sound than stock this is the way to go. I got it at the apex garage sale yesterday. You can find one at most of the vendors at a good price.

Thanks,
Ruben

Nismo is subtle and keeps the characteristic Z engine sound, but a little louder, but when you go WOT, it definitely can be heard, not terribly loud, but just enough to grab your attention! You really should go to a meet and hear the different exhaust! Sometimes I wish it was louder when I cruisin, but daily driving, it's perfect!! So I'm thinking of selling it for something different or adding some HF cats, not sure yet!
That is what is so great about the Z, you have a ridiculous amount of options for customizing it, a million different exhaust from "top of the line" manufactures, i.e. greddy, injen, borla, nismo, stillen, hks,..........you get the picture! GL, do your research!

Besides, you are in SoCal, land of modded Zs, I am sure you could get an in car review of just about every system in existence.

It sounds like the exhaust you are looking for is the Nismo. The Nismo exhaust is the only exhaust on the market that will retain the factory warranty and comes with an additional 1 year/12,000 mile warranty on the exhaust itself. The Nismo exhaust also does not change the tone of the factory exhaust notes but rather retains it and amplifys it. It gains about 5-7 WHP and is about 9 pounds lighter than stock. It is also one of the few exhausts that comes with a y-pipe where as in a lot of exhausts on the market for the 350Z does not come with a y-pipe. Adding high flow cats or test pipes and headers will make the exhaust sound even more aggressive and does not drone or rasp at all. Seems like you are local and I have this very same setup, you are more than welcome to come by to check it out. We also have a special pricing on the exhaust for $880 plus tax and theyre in stock!

I am installing my NISMO that I picked up for the above quoted price this weekend. I researched and played ever audio clip available and in terms of price sound and solid gains throughout the entire power band, I was sold. I admit that the HKS was tempting, but visually unappealing to me personally. However, if I win the lotto or find me a sugar momma I am going with the Amuse exhaust.

PS... I several well modified Z's cruising from San Diego out towards Arizona this weekend, wish I knew who they were and how often they do that.

I have been listening to sound clips and i know that sound quality varies from clip to clip, but the Injen Super SES exhaust sounds pretty deep and throaty...I don't know what other mods were on the vehicle i heard, but it sounded nice. Also, the Greddy sounded really nice too. I am tempted by NISMO also...damn i wish i could find a local meet or something to hear other peoples exhaust!

Pics below. Yes, it is loud. PM me if interested.

Has anyone bought this exhaust from this seller?
I was wondering if power gains would be better or worse than exhasusts like the Stillen since this one is a 2 into 1 into 2? Also, how's the noise? I have Kinetix high flow cats, I know that will make a difference. What kind of sound should I expect? Don't mind loud, just don't want RICE...
Thanks
