Hey all, i want to start moding my car soon and i think the first thing i want to do is put in an intake. which is your favorite and why? and also what other fairly simple mods would you do?

 

I have the K&N Typhoon intake and I love it

 

I have a (search button) and love it! It gave me (search button) HP!

 

i also live in california and so much crap is not legal here. it sucks.

 

MOVE!! I couldn't imagine dealing with the crap you put up with out there. Emissions testing, sky high real estate prices, hippies, democrats... sounds like a hell on earth.

When I had a Z I bought an Injen intake and converted it to a short Ram intake. You really don't get any power gains from an intake on a 350z. Just meaner sound.

 

We hid treads about intakes in the intake forum so that new members cannot find them. So far this seems to be working well.

I've been looking at K&N but the only problem is that i live in california and the laws here are dumb in terms of what car parts are legal. why does everyone put on popchargers? and what are your favorate? also what other simple mods would you all do?

I got an Injen which i am really happy with. All intakes are about the same gains its just a matter of price of preference. Other mods i would probely suggest for the Z would be test pipes. It all depends how much u want to spend but that is what i started of with.

- Performance gains are up to par with any other intake on the market
- Easy to maintain w/ the short ram setup.
- No fear of hydrolocking
- Best part...it has a CARB# for us guys in CA

depending on your budget and state laws... you can get

intake
plenum spacer
test pipes

all for < $1K. can't beat that.

 

JWT POPCHARGER = CARB # = a big fat when the cop asks you to pop your hood (well, at least in California)
