Hey guys,
How many of you get have the 5/16 spacer on your A/T and did it make a big difference throughout the entire powerband, or could you only feel it at like 5K RPM's and up. I have an 06 A/T and it has the 287 HP engine, should i get the regular spacer with iso thermal or the MREV. Please provide some info only if you have the A/T .
Thanks

For optimal gains you want the 5/16 iso thermal spacer, and the MREV++.
The MREV++ is a machined 287 lower collector.
I have one with the iso thermal upgrade. The plenum doesnt get nearly as hot as it did before. As far as feeling a difference, I already had an Injen SES exhaust, popcharger, and 3.5 final drive, so I really didnt feel anything on the butt dyno.

The spacer is a very very easy install. Just be sure not to overtighten the bolts. Use in/lbs ONLY! Or reduce the ft/lbs for example, 7.5 ft/lbs instead of 90 in/lbs. Gains are noticed! The directions included with the kit are very thorough and straight forward.
I installed the 5/16 spacer today on my 2005 automatic Z. Have to say it was pretty easy install but I was still kinda scared breaking apart the engine.
When I was finished installing their was two empty screw holes on top of the upper phelum near the back. I couldnt remember if they were there before I started the install. I just think that they had to be there. Does anyone know if they were there before I started the install or did I forget something? I will post a pick in a couple of minutes

Does this help?
Okay Had the Spacer on for Two days. Still not sure about the power increase. Two things that I did notice
1. The Sound/Growl got louder. I have the Helix up to the Y-pipe. Quiet until I hit the pedal
2. I think the engine runs hotter underneath the hood. Can anyone tell me if this is infact true? I havent noticed my temp guage go up to much.
Thanks
