Default yet another nismo intake installed!

installed my first mod. it took me forever, but it was worth it. i had a close call though, when i went to assemble the filter to the lower tube, i luckily looked inside the filter and saw a piece of that packing popcorn! i dont even want to think what that would have done to the engine. the new sound is cool and like everyone else says its pretty tough to make out any power difference. hmm what next..........

The placement of the filter is dependent on the pipe that exits downward from the bypass filter - you can turn it slightly (the pipe) after loosening the hose clamp at the bottom of the bypass filter and the bolt that attaches it to the body frame in the engine bay...then re-tighten. My filter almost touches the bumper cover near the reflector. Regardless, it is a tight fit in that front corner of the car - no biggie.

In the instructions it says for more performance, dont use the bypass filter but replace it with the coupler. Is that true, anyone do that?

thats true but i wouldnt risk it incase the filter gets too wet, plus i doubt the gains would be significant enough..... but i dont know for sure.
