Default Popcharger Fix

No, I'm not a noob. I searched and I know people have mentioned it before but I've never seen the solution. When I first installed my popcharger about a year ago, I had the problem where my throttle cut out, the gauges dropped and the car shut off. I had to restart it and everything was fine. It usually happened after WOT acceleration and then letting off and pushing in the clutch and taking the car our of gear. It went away and for a while everything was fine. However, it came back and now it has happened to me twice this week. Once while taking a turn on an offramp coming off the highway at highway speeds. It was kinda scary. Any ways, I had heard that JWT had come out with a fix for this problem and I know that others have had it but I can't find anything that tells how to fix it. If someone could post up either a link to a thread they found or the solution that would be great. Thanks!
Fletch

Use it only on a car that has an automatic transmission.

End of problem.

ECU reflash or piggy back.

This has happened to me at the drag strip on occasion, after the end of the run, as I let the car coast down. I keep it from stalling by tapping the throttle as it returns to idle.

Other than that, you'll need a re-flash or a piggy back, like the UTEC, to tune it out.

Damn. It's weird because when I first put it on it did it several times that night. Then over the next couple of weeks it just went away. I assumed the ECU had somehow adapted to the difference in air flow, but it came back. I have taught myself to not put it into neutral after wards but I would just rather not have it happen at all. When it cut out the other day while I was going around a turn and I had to restart the car while fighting no power steering it was a little freaky. Thanks for the serious responses. Screw the rest of you, . JK.

Same with me. I've done several hard runs without having the engine turn off. And to test it, I even put the car in neutral after running it to redline. No problems here. I did read before that this was a problem for 03's...not sure about 04.

Never has a problem either..make sure the filter element isn't over oiled. Take a towel and pat the inside of the filter to soak up any over-oiling. Could be effecting your MAF like K&N type filters are known to do.

no problems here as well. I've had mine in for about 10 months now. I'm not sure if having an 05' makes a difference.

I have an 05, have had the popcharger for a year and havent had it die once, and I always gun it and come out of gear...no problems what so ever, no reflash, nothing, I put it on shortly after I got my car, I did un plug the battery for a few minutes after installing.

I use K&N Recharger to clean and re oil. You only put oil on the outside right? lol, I have always put it on the outside only, thats right, right dumb q i know.
