Default Injen intake and aluminum pedals install

I just finished up installing my Injen intake, as well as an attempt at the Nissan aluminum pedals, and I ran into a few questions and problems.

First, when installing the Intake, I couldn't figure out exactly where the heat shield is supposed to go. It kind of looked like it was supposed to go over top of the stock header heat sheild, but I couldn't get it wedged in there, let alone get to the bolt at the back of the heat shield. Is this in fact where the Injen shield goes? If so, how the heck are people getting it in there.

Second, I tried to install the stock Nissan aluminum pedals (from the non-base level models), and I couldn't for the life of me get the brake and clutch pedals back on. Does anyone have any tips/tricks to getting those on? I might just break down and go to the delaership and ask them to install them for me and save my self (and my aching back) the trouble.

Thanks!

Well,.I'm gonna be doing the same mods as you in a few days!!

I'd like to get the pedals becasue Mine are Slipery as ****--when I test drove my Z--they has detail spray on it and the Lady riding w/ me I know was scared as **** cuz my damn foot would slip off the clutch and the Z would jump---hahaha It was great!!

SO I'm orderding my INJEN and probably the pedals as well,...Sub woofer plate as welll!!For my stereo install!

Heat sheild will probably go by the Manifold to block hera there---on my RSX-S it went by the cone but it was a short ram,.and the cone on the CAI is nowhere near heat! But I'm not 100% on that cuz I still on'
t have my CAI yet,...but I'll check back to see if ya got all of it on to further help me out!

Someone on FreshAlloy.com suggested putting the brake and clutch pedals in very hot water for a while to loosen them up.
