Smile Which HFC should I go for?

I live CA and it's really strict here so I'm guessing I will go with HFC that will Pass the emmission test.
Which HFC works good? ( I have 06)
I am planning to install it during summer when I get HKS Ti.
Or if theres any one who has TPs on their car and lives in CA I would like to hear Pros and Cons..
Where do I get them? It will be nice if someone post up the site.
thanks for reading it and have fun with your ZZZZ

If you are interested in passing regional emissions tests, then this thread should be in the regional forum. That said, what test must you pass?

Sniffer?
OBDII history?
Visual?

check out kinetix, theres a store on ebay thats liquadating them so they're going for pretty cheap.
RT's flow the most, but are more likely to break.. however, my friend has RT's in his supra and they're fine still. Otherwise, they're all about hte same.

I was thinking about the Kinetix as well but do you have any idea why they're being "liquidated" on eBay? Final selling price is not much more than direct from Kinetix, at least that's what I saw a week or 2 ago. Seller is indicating that these are new but is there a newer version. I tried to contact Kinetix via email but haven't gotten a response..

yea, for all you know they could be liquidating the older version of them (the ones notorious for cracking)

I asked a simple question last night and you have yet to respond. Terrible rude. You will never waste my time again.

Why would he waste his time telling you what region when his user info clearly says LA. Stop being mean and use some common sense. He never said anything about a specific test. He said what are pros and cons, meaning it will pass such and such test but not such and such test. Those would be considered pros and cons.

Sound is great and these guys are top notch. I actually swapped my Stillen
race pipes for these and happy I did.

I'm not 100% sure but IIRC the last time I got a smog check in LA it was visual and sniffer, they do a mini "dyno" run at 10mph and 15mph. I don't remember them plugging in any OBDII

I don't see how you can get into trouble with HFC. If they say "those are not the stock cats" you just say "I don't really know anything about cars. I hit a speed bump and cracked my catalytic converters, I took my car to a shop and they replaced them for me"

that's like saying you arn't liable for a speeding ticket because you installed new gearing and the shop didn't tell your your speedo/odo was inaccurate

No, not really. Federal Law in the US prohibits removel or replacement of properly functioning catalytic converters.

Hitting the curb would make it not function properly.

umm..I just read it's illegal to change the cats on a OBDII vehicle 1995 or newer for California. This includes any aftermarket cats, High Flow or not. Guess were I read this? In the Stillen Mag when I was taking a Dump, lol
