Question curing rasp.... i have a quick question.

iv did my research and nothing found. i ordered non resonated test pipes about 6 months ago, raspy as hell. can i have an exhaust shop install resonators to cure the problem? if so, WHICH AREA? thanks josh

Josh i had a set of stillen race pipes that also rasped like you could never imagine. i'm not sure that with resonated pipes you will completely cure the rasp. just reduce it. someone correct me here because i'm not sure.

im pretty sure if you get resonated test pipes it will help with the rasp but not get rid of it.... installing new and additionaly resonators to the exhaust may cure the problem... but i dont know if it will affect the performance...


I thought people dont have problems with rasp when they use HFC

yeah i ditched my race pipes and went with a set of AAM HFCs. No rasp.

i also believe the gains for HFC vs test pipes are pretty much the same for
non-FI applications. for FI though generally test pipes are the way to go.
