T1R Resonated Test Pipes
Hi guys..
This is funny, because I don't even own a Z yet, but I hope to buy one very shortly.
I love project cars, and though my Z wont be a big one like my S2000, I will do very minor things.
One piece I am interested in are the resonated test pipes made by T1R. T1R was a major theme in my S2000; I love their parts.
Does anybody have these? Opinions?
I will be using these in conjuction with the STOCK exhaust. So I am expecting minor gains (not the goal), not louder (resonated), but hopefully a lower/deeper rumble... I love the sound of the stock mufflers and just want to accentuate that. If that makes sense...
Comments? Thanks!

Hehe, I have Toyo T1R tires as well.
Yeah, but not a lot. Mainly S2000 and other Honda parts.

Then go to Intake & Exhaust, and click 350Z. Also make a dual cat-back it seems.
Their Sparrow exhaust on the S2000 is the nicest dual available, IMO. I was also wondering if anybody had it on the Z.

Interesting, never heard of those parts before . The sparrow exhaust does not look like a dual exhaust, the picture seems to indicate that it goes y-pipe -> b-pipe -> dual exit muffler. Basically a nismo clone with titanium tips, as far as I can tell.

The fact that they call it a dual exhaust when it clearly isn't is rather disarming. I probably would never buy from them.

AJ racing is a very good company. My friend ordered his Sparrow single exhaust for his S2k from them before they discontinued it. The quality of the exhaust is very good and looks awesome.
They actually didn't discontinue that S2000 exhaust, just made a 2nd version of it. I had the V1, and now have the V2.

I have been very impressed with T1R products (I have a lot), and AJ-R is the sole distributor of their products. Living in Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC, I go to the shop often for work... I love them.
That is what lead me to the Z parts. I plan on buying a Z, and was hoping they would have a nice collection of parts available for the Z. That is where I found these. Search brought up little information and insight, so I started this thread.
Anyways, my original question remains. What will change when I use test pipes with stock exhaust? In theory, it should add a deeper grumble and eliminate any rasp/drone.
I don't know what to say about their advertising it as a dual. I see what you mean now and yes, it is disarming. But I don't consider it a deal big enough to void a consideration of their parts.

They don't even post a pic of the full exhaust with the layout. Yes the muffler looks quality..but who cares? For all I know I could order it and receive no y-pipe. Plus they don't list prices... probably to keep competitors from undercutting but still, BALLPARK or MSRP figure would be nice.
Not trying to be a dick but not many people (outside of the apparent s2k community) have heard of these guys and they barely make any parts for the 350Z it seems. Combine that with lack of information and advertizing on their part and the fact that there are lots of other great exhaust systems available for the 350z. I doubt anyone will be rushing to buy any of their stuff.
But if you get a Z and you buy their stuff, be sure to take lots of good pics and post up on the forums. You know what they say about what pix are worth...

No doubt do I understand what you are saying.
And it's weird, because for 90% of other cars and 90% of other products, they do list prices on their site.
I might be at their shop this week. If they have a Z there with a Sparrow, I will check it out and give my opinions.

I used to have a T1R resonated testpipe for my previous Integra Type R years ago... didnt know they made anything for nissans? I must say for the integra, the T1R pipe was very nice, it was a direct bolt-on and sounded great, absolutely no rasp whatsoever. If they make testpipes for the Z with the same quality as mine did, i would inquire.
